Rock Challenge
Withernsea High School was promoted to the "Premier" league of schools in the Rock Challenge following the success of our 2009 piece, The Crucible". This means that the school takes part in a "Showcase" event prior to taking part in the "Northern Premier Final" which is normally held at the Grimsby Auditorium.
2011 - Troy
50,000 Greek fighters wage war upon the Trojans after Queen Helen of Sparta (Greece) betrays her country for her unmistakable love for Paris, the Prince of Troy. Of course the tale would not be true without a Trojan Horse being received after battle in supposed 'retreat' of the Greeks.
But how will the battle be won once this 'gift' is welcomed into the great walls of Troy?

** Final - Saturday 4th June at the Grimsby Auditorium
2010 - War of the Worlds
No one would have believed that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this earth with envious eyes and slowly and surely they drew their plans against us.
2009 - The Crucible
In 1692, nineteen innocent men and women were hanged for witchcraft. Four others died in jail as they awaited trial. How did a village get caught up in such madness? Enter a world very different from our own and discover the fears, struggles and beliefs of everyday people in Salem.
